The museum dedicates an important and rich exhibition area to the house, and the importance it has always had for the lower classes, in which, more than in the other sections, many material finds appear. These finds were placed in some typical rooms of the peasant house, expertly reconstructed with original materials and furnishings. From the reconstruction it emerges, with evident clarity, that the largest space was occupied by the kitchen, the true epicenter of what was happening in the domestic universe. The main elements consisted, respectively, of the oven corner and the fireplace corner. The reconstruction of the domestic space is completed by the display of some women’s clothing and some furnishings traditionally placed in the bedroom.
